2026 Junior Bells Spring Baseball League

Players registered for the Spring League are invited to a Spring Baseball Kick Off Clinic at Base by Pros Skagit on March 15! Please answer the question in the league registration form about your attendance for this clinic and we will contact you with more information.

Dates
  • Ages 3-6: April 13-May 30
  • Ages 7-12: April 13-June 13

Practice and Game Date Information
  • Ages 3-4 (Rookies): Practices are 45 minutes long. Practice will be Wednesday or Friday. Practices are at Joe Martin Field.
  • Ages 5-6 (Single A): Practices are 45 minutes long. Practice will be Wednesday or Friday. Practices are at Joe Martin Field.
  • Ages 7-12 (Double A, Triple A, Majors): Practices are 1 hour long. Practice will be Monday or Friday. Practices are at Joe Martin Field. Players in this age group can add, for an additional cost, an optional training session with Base by Pros Staff at Joe Martin Field on Wednesdays from 6-7pm.
  • The week of May 25th, Friday practice will be Thursday, May 28th.
  • THERE WILL BE NO PRACTICE OR GAMES THE WEEK OF APRIL 27TH.

  • Games will take place on Saturdays between 9am and 4pm at either Joe Martin Field or Geri Fields 1 and 2.
  • Games the weekend of May 9, 16, and 30 may take place on Sunday.
  • Ages 7-12: The final weekend of games will be a tournament on Saturday and Sunday!
  • A final schedule will be sent the first week of April.
  • Practice dates and times are subject to change depending on registration and field availability.

Evaluation Practice for Ages 7-12
  • An evaluation for players 7-12 will take place on March 30th at Joe Martin Field (location change to Base by Pros Skagit based on weather conditions). The evaluation for players ages 7-9 will take place from 4:30-5:30pm and for players 10-12 from 6:00-7:00pm. Players will be assigned a division and team after the evaluation.
  • Divisions for this age group are:
  • 7-9 age group: Double A (coach pitch)
  • 9-11 age group: Triple A (kid pitch)
  • 10-12 age group: Majors (kid pitch)
  • We will place players based on age and the evaluation

Cost
  • Ages 3-6: $175
  • Ages 7-12: $225 (+$50 for the optional training session)
  • If you have any questions about what age group your player should register for, please email [email protected] prior to registering.
  • Your registration fee includes a jersey, hat, free membership to Dinger's Kids Club, and Junior Bells night at the Bells Game on June 10th! We provide a hosted pizza party on the deck and all teams are honored on the field prior to the game. Each player is provided one ticket to the game.

Registration closes March 27th.

Locations: Practices and games will take place primarily at Joe Martin Field or Frank Geri Fields.

Cancellations and Extensions: If cancellations are made due to weather, games may or may not be rescheduled. Practices will not be rescheduled.

Equipment: Players will need to have their own athletic shoes and glove. Players are encouraged to have their own bat and helmet, but we will provide bats and helmets for shared use if players do not have their own. 

Refund Policy: Program fees are non-refundable. Program fees can be transferred to another Junior Bells Development Program in the same calendar year, if approved by the Program Director. If a participant needs to cancel, please reach out to [email protected]

Coaching: Coaches are volunteers and the Bells will provide coaches training from local baseball professionals. We will also provide coaching mentors and other resources.

Scholarship Information: The Junior Bells are committed to accessible baseball opportunities for youth athletes in Whatcom County. Consistent with that mission, we will provide scholarships for both the youth league and camps. All athletes are welcome to apply for financial assistance. However, the Junior Bells Development Program gives preference to families whose income qualifies for reduced or free lunch from Bellingham Public Schools or your respective school district.
